Kenneth J. Bates Jr.

Kenneth J. Bates Jr., age 37, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 while surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Bates. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Christina Bates; father, Kenneth J. Bates; sister, April Bates; and many extended family and friends. Kenny enjoyed bowling, listening to music, and spending time with his family. Kenny was a fighter through and through; he battled fiercely against kidney disease for over ten years. He will be deeply missed. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 23, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. In memory of Kenny and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
