

Kenneth “Ken” Bradford, age 90, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, July 16, 2020. Ken was born in Trenton, Michigan to James and Elizabeth (Sewell) Bradford. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernadette Bradford; granddaughter, Kathryn Schultz; and brother, James Bradford.
He was a graduate of Henry Ford Trade School and the University of Detroit and retired as an engineer from the Ford Motor Co. Glass Division. He married the love of his life, Bernadette Hogan, in 1955. For the next 35 years, they made their home in Nashville, TN and Detroit. Following Ken’s retirement, they relocated to the Grand Rapids area to be near Bernie’s family. Ken was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, and carving ducks.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children Colleen (Greg) Schultz, Steven (Ann) Bradford, Barbara Bradford, and William Bradford; grandchildren Mary Schultz, Michael (Jennie-Rose) Schultz, Sarah (Ryan) Gietman, Andrew (fiancée Brittany Klein) Bradford, Tyler Bradford, Kelsie Bradford; and great-grandson, Elias Schultz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2020 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with Rev. Chris Rouech presiding. A reservation to attend the Mass is required and may be made by going to spxcatholic.org or calling St. Pius X directly at 616-532-9344 after 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. A brief viewing time will be from 10:30 a.m. until time of the Mass at the church.
