Kim was a lifelong Union activist for workers’ rights and participated in organizing, boycotting, or other pro-worker activity including serving as Executive Vice-President of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) Local 4034 for over 20 years. In this role, Kim was an expert benefits representative. Her dedication to workers’ rights never wavered and she ensured Union workers received all the benefits they were entitled to through the Union contract or law.
Also, she was a lifelong Democrat who gave her time and talents volunteering for phone banks, distributing candidates’ literature, knock dropping on voters' doors, and anything else candidates asked her to do to ensure that pro-worker and pro-Union candidates won their elections.
In addition, Kim led by example for women’s rights including the right to vote. Kim never missed an election in her lifetime, including local, state, or national elections. She would even drive in from vacations to ensure that she exercised this right, and was sure to educate all on the importance of participating in our democracy.
A great wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, chef, activity planner, event planner, gardener, and more, Kim was a friend to countless and a great teacher to more.
