Larry John Cuperus, age 80, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 13, 2025, as a result of small cell lung cancer. He is survived by his children Cheryl (Jim) Porter, Trecia Cuperus, and Jodi (Kevin) Jenkins; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings Bonnie Kooistra, Terry (Judy) Cuperus, and Sallie Malcolm; special friend, Sue Kramer; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Larry's team in heaven is excited because their catcher has arrived, and the game can start.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Larry, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
