Larry Kietzman, age 81, son of Lyle and Myra Kietzman, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Kietzman; children Steve (Trina) Kietzman and Stacey Finkler; grandchildren Nicholas and Mitchell Kietzman, Alexa, Raphaelle, and Aidan Finkler, Kailey Natte; brother, Dale Kietzman; brothers- and sisters-in-law Peter (Beverly) Nickels and Herman (Phyllis) Nickels; and nieces, nephews, and friends.

Larry was a dedicated teacher and coach spending most of his career at Kelloggsville Middle School teaching math and coaching girls and boys basketball.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to Mass.

In lieu of flowers and in memory of Larry, contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.

Condolences to the Family and Friends of Mr. Kietzman. Mr. Kietzman was my Favorite Teacher at Kelloggsville in the 1970’s. He was such a kind man & a great teacher.
