Lenora Rose Wilmes

WILMES - Lenora Wilmes (Mieras), age 89 peacefully went to be with her Lord, Monday, December 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband John R. Wilmes; parents Cornelius and Lena Mieras; brother Robert Mieras; sister Mary Schlientz.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert J. (Mary Beth) Wilmes, John R. Wilmes, Nora Lynne (Stephen) Swart; grandchildren Joseph (Marcy) Wilmes, Thomas Wilmes, Michael Swart, Stephani (Michael) Swart, Katie Wilmes, Kristie Wilmes; great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Upon retiring from Kent County Child Haven after 30 years, Lenora relocated to the Upper Peninsula where she enjoyed many views of the Lake Freighters. Lenora was also active in her church and Georgetown Senior Center.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2015 with visitation one hour prior at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building) 4235 Prairie Street, SW, Grandville, Michigan. Pastor Paul Krupinski will be officiating. Interment will be at Fairplains Cemetery.
