Leona (Postma) Baker, age 89, of Jenison, left her earthly home on May 5, 2011, and is in the presence of her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joe Postma and James Baker; sister, Lavina Moorhus; and brothers, Charles Hodde and Don DeJager. Leona is survived by her loving children, Sherry (Lloyd) Mingerink of Jenison, Ken (Marilyn) Postma of Holland, Judy (Doug) VanTuinen of San Carlos, Mexico and Doug (Nancy) Postma of Kalamazoo; her seventeen wonderful grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Doris (Henry) Emelander and Lois (Eugene) Van Maldegen; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. According to Leona's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date at Beverly Reformed Church. We wish to thank the Oakcrest and Faith Hospice staff for the compassionate care given to Leona.
