Leonard J. Berkenpas

BERKENPAS - Leonard J. Berkenpas, age 83, of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his sons Kevin Berkenpas and Curtis Berkenpas. Leonard will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie Berkenpas Klomparens; his children, Sheryl Jerry Van Solkema, Craig Sheryl Berkenpas, Scott A. Berkenpas of El Paso, TX; his daughter-in-law Kathy Berkenpas; his 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; his siblings, Jeanette Tubert, Catherine Van Drunnen, James Alberdene Berkenpas, Richard Dorothy Berkenpas, Ray Margaret Berkenpas, Jess DeGroot, Frank Audrey Berkenpas, Fred Betty Berkenpas, Doris LaRyn DeWitt, John Berkenpas; and many nieces and nephews.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Leonard's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 – 84th St. SW.

Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday at the Second Christian Reformed Church, 7588 Byron Center Ave. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
