VAN KIRK - Leonard Van Kirk, age 76 of Byron Center, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, May 26, 1999. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Malissa. Surviving are his wife Thelma; sons, Robert Marcia Van Kirk, Terry Paulette Van Kirk; four grandchildren and one great granddaughter; sister Johanna Dick Swainson; brother and sisters-in-law, Jense DeVries, Hiram Dorothy DeVries, Bud Theresa DeVries, Eunice Al Bruuresma, Norm Shirley DeVries and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Byron Center United Methodist Church, 2490 Prescott, with Pastor Rhonda Prater officiating. Interment Dorr Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St, Byron Center. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
