He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Donna Belle Kaman; his siblings, Brenda Frost and Randy Kaman.
Leroy will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Sue Kaman (Clay); his children and grandchildren, Michael and Natalie Kaman and their kids, Jayce, Reed, Wesley, and Sayge, Chris and Emilie Kaman, and their son, Barrett, with one on the way; and Jessica and Mike Bomhof, and their kids, Carter and Jude; his siblings, Mable Beebe, Otto (Vicky) Kaman, Renee (Bill) Foster, Bertha Stanley; and many nieces and nephews.
Leroy was passionate about many things in life, first and foremost his relationship with God, followed closely by his family. He loved to work hard and lived his life to the fullest each and every day. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, and worked for the City of Wyoming Public Works for 25 years. Leroy was a great provider for his family and generous with those around him, including complete strangers. He loved working on cars, sharing a meal with friends or family, driving cross-country, the art of the “wheel ‘n’ deal,” watching his son, Chris, play basketball, and he was a collector-extraordinaire.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Leroy’s family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St., S.W. (East building). Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Tri-Unity Christian School – Wilson Campus, 5353 Wilson Ave., S.W., Wyoming, MI. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
In honor of Leroy, memorial contributions may be made to Tri-Unity Christian School-Building Fund.
