In Kalamazoo, Linda LeVern Couch, née Lambert, bid farewell to this earthly realm on March 5, 2024. Her seventy-five years of life were a tapestry woven with the threads of kindness and dedication, a testament to the love she carried within her heart.
Born under the bloom of spring, Linda's soul was a vessel of kindness, a sanctuary for the dedicated spirit that animated her being. Linda was welcomed to the world May 10, 1948 to Vernon and Leona Lambert. She navigated the complexities of the world with a gentle hand, guiding her through a career in property management, where her touch turned structures into sanctuaries and houses into homes.
Her legacy is cradled in the soul of her son, Billy, who remains as a testament to her enduring love and the tender moments they shared. A piece of Linda’s heart will forever be embedded in her granddaughter, Taylor. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Janel and Sue (Ed); brother, Chris; son, Cody (Ashley); grandchildren Ty and Grace, Cameron and Harper; as well as many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, David; parents Vernon and Leona; and sister-in-law, Julie. Her departure leaves a silence in the spaces she once filled, a quietude where once resonated the laughter and whispers of a life richly lived.
Let us not speak of Linda's journey as one concluded, but as a melody that lingers long after the final note has trembled into stillness. In the tender embrace of memory, she remains with us, as eternal as the stars that embroider the velvet night. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Humane Society. A service will be held 3 p.m. April 25, 2024 at Fort Custer National Cemetery to celebrate Linda’s legacy. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their online guest book.
