Lori Ann Harkes

Lori Ann Harkes, age 66, of Allendale, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Faber; infant sister, Tammi; father- and mother-in-law Cornelius and Evelyn Harkes; and other in-laws Dwayne Scheidel, Jessie and Mel Wierenga, and Joe Beukema. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Jim; their sons Scott and Valerie Harkes, Jeff Harkes and Franchesca Winters; grandchildren Caleb, Briana, Rylee, and Connor Harkes; mother, Nelda Faber; sisters Vicki and Bill Westerbrink, Terri Scheidel, and Jodi and Mark Derylo; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Lori will be remembered as someone who cherished the people in her life, not the things of this world. She made the most of every moment, loving those around her as Christ loved us. She will be remembered for her servant heart as she embodied humility, patience, and kindness to everyone around her. Because of her, everyday moments were made special, and most definitely memorable! We will carry on her testimony of peace and contentment, no matter the circumstance, as we trust completely in our Lord and Savior!

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, December 22, 2025 at Spring Valley Church, 5947 Lake Michigan Dr. Allendale, MI. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Spring Valley Church.
