Lorraine Ethel (Haggerty) Herrema

HERREMA- Lorraine Ethel (Haggerty) Herrema, age 89 of Byron Center, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, April 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her son Gary Herrema and grandson Rick Herrema.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 69 years, Richard J Herrema; children Dick and Mary Herrema, Paul and Jan Gillisse, Brian and Denise Herrema, Boyd and Heidi Herrema; grandchildren; Tony and Amanda, Letha and Nils, Kate, Nick and Niki, Janie and John, Ben and Marcia, Rachel and Ben, Derek, Lauren, Adam and Kaley, Aubrey, Aaron, Emarie and 8 great grandchildren and one more on the way. Also surviving are her sisters, Lucille Schierbeek, Marion Vanden Brand; sisters-in-law Louise Zeeff and Marge De Boer, brother-in-law Dick Post.

Lorraine was a bus driver for 18 years for BCPS. Her family will always remember Sunday morning coffee at mom and dad’s house.

Funeral services will be held 1 pm Monday at the Second Christian Reformed Church of Byron Center 7588 Byron Center, Byron Center, MI. with Pastor Adam Nordyke officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center, 2067 84th St. and one hour prior to services at church on Monday.
