Margery Evadenia Cnossen

Margery Evadenia Cnossen, age 82, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Margery was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Cnossen; parents Eleswood and Margaret Buffin; brothers Don Buffin and Robert Buffin; sisters Kathy Buffin and Shirley Buffin; sister-in-law, Mary Buffin; and brother-in-law, Ronald Cnossen. She will be remembered by her children Terry Cnossen, Kathy (Rodger) Smit, and Christy (Scott) VanNuil; grandchildren Allison, Kellie, and Travis; sibling, Terry Buffin; sisters-in-law Donna Buffin and Marlye Wassenaar; many nieces, nephews, friends; and special friends Jan Kaper and Tammi Mahler.

Margery enjoyed decorating, flowers gardens, cardinals, crafts, and reading. The History Channel and craft shows were also enjoyed. She had a loving heart and loved to talk, often talking with friends on the phone for hours. However, her children and grandchildren gave her the most joy. She loved the visits and phone calls. Whether it was talking about our funny dogs or cats, or the what was happening in our lives, Margery was there to listen to her kids and grandkids until the very end. She now joyously joins her husband, William, in Heaven.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Garden and Emmanuel Hospice for the great love and care provided.

A private family celebration of Margery’s life will take place at a time and date to be determined. In honor of Margery and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
