
ALOFS - LCPL Marianne Alofs, age 24, serving in the U.S. Marine Corp in Hawaii, formerly of Byron Center, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 15, 2000. She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and free of all bodily pain.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Peter and Fannie Douma and Gaylord Alofs as well as infant sisters, Debra and Jennifer Alofs. She will be dearly missed by her parents Donald and Gladys Alofs of Byron Center; her brothers Don Alofs, Eric Alofs, and Nathan Alofs; her sisters, Julianne Alofs and fiance` Curt Wilkerson, Karen Bossenbroek; and her biological sister Karianne Alofs. She is also survived by her grandparent Bena Alofs and John Bakhuyzen and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Second Christian Reformed Church of Byron Center. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center.
