PIERSON, MARIANNE (CHOLEWIN) – Our hearts are saddened but our spirits are rejoicing as we mourn the loss of our amazing sister on November 9, 2015. Although she struggled with many health issues, she lived life to the fullest with dignity, grace, perseverance and a positive attitude. Marianne retired from Grand Rapids Community College after many years of dedicated service in a profession she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Adeline Cholewin, and sister Patricia Kosiara. Marianne is survived by her sisters Stephanie (John) Kovitz, Maxine (Doug) Shoemaker, Michaleen (Terry) Matvichuk, brother-in-law Paul Kosiara, many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and a multitude of close friends.
Visitation for Marianne will be 4 - 7:30 p.m. Thursday, November 12 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St., SW, Grandville, with Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, November 13 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton Street, SE, Grand Rapids.
