
She worked at General Electric-Holland for 19 years, retiring in 1974. Marjorie was a member of Rosewood Reformed Church for over 20 years, member of the Western Michigan Quilter Guild, Riverbend Garden Club of Jenison, and was also a member of The Federated Garden Club of Michigan. Mrs. Nicol was preceded in death by her infant son, Joseph in 1946. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roger, two sons, Robert Carol Nicol of Holland, Dennis Nicol of Hudsonville, two daughters, Diana Francis Thompson of Douglas, MI, Judy Bernard Kolkman of Byron Center, nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Lucille Lewis Newberry of AZ; one brother, Milton Kool of IL; two sisters-in-law, Mary Nicol of OH, Mary Nieburger of NV; one brother-in-law, Donald June Hein; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday 11 a.m. from Rosewood Reformed Church 2795 Rosewood - Jenison with Pastor Howard Moths officiating. Interment Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Family will meet with relatives and friends Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home - Jenison. Memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer of Michigan or the Breast Cancer Blue Birds.
