On behalf of Grandville High School's Class of 1976, we wish to send our condolences to Marks family, friends and loved ones.  R.I.P. Mark. You will be missed by so many. 

I honestly don't remember meeting the Travis family.  My family was lucky enough to have been  neighbors to this wonderful family when I was a small child and since then my their family became a part of my own.  Tammy and Mark did so much for me growing up. I was always welcome in their house. Thank you for all the rides to church and school. Tammy and Mark had such a beautiful marriage. Ed and I always loved the way they  laughed and teased each other and admired how they often went off on camping adventures together.  Mark's love lives on through you and all of us. Ed and I will remember him so fondly. We can only hope that we can be as half as kind and wonderful to our family and neighbors as you have been to us.  Love you always-  Ed and Amy Runyon

Mark was an outstanding individual, who loved is Family and God.  Mark was kind, honest and respectful.  He and his Father, Tom, were the first wrestling people I met when I arrived in Grandville in 1975.  
Mark and Tom introduced me to Grandville and the Grandville Wrestling Program. Mark was a senior on the Team.  Mark's 
leadership and winning attitude were instrumental to the Team's
success.  Mark and Tammy have a beautiful Family.  May God Bless and watch over them in his absence.  We love and miss you!


Our deepest sympathy is offered to Tami, Kevin, Mike, all of the Travis family.  Always a great family to be around.  Many wonderful memories of Mark for me after having coached Mark in wrestling especially. 
Mark was always a quiet, respectful person and I always appreciated that and knowing he is now in a better place is a true testament of his deep love for God and the love of family and friends.  I will always cherish my memories of Mark and the great times we shared along with my memories of dad, Tom, and mom, Dorothy who also baby sat my kids, Stacy and Jodi.  My God bless

Mark will be missed by all! Always enjoyed shooting clays, talking guns, loads & dogs! Mark was always willing to work around the club & was part of many construction projects teaching me how to frame a wall.

Love you Mark. Peace to all your family and friends. You will be missed. 

We are forever thankful for this man of integrity
and a man of faith.  He had a  deep love for anyone who was part of his family or friendship circle.  He loved the Lord, and spoke often about his faith in this journey.  I have been blessed  to have been his friend for over 50 years.  He was as close as a brother...He was my confidant...he was my football and wrestling friend. He would drop anything to help a friend...(unless you moved 5 times..he had his limits!)  We dated our wives through high school, we were in each other's weddings, we raised our kids together who still love each other like siblings...Our families camped and boated for several years, and the memories are filled with laughter and love.  Sarah, Aimee, Ronnie, Lisa, Kristi, Michael, and Graham..the kids and the cousins.....built lifetime memories around campfires that Mark would build for the gang.  We passed this love for each other on to a second generations of families.  

Linda and I had dinner with Mark and Tammy three weeks ago....We ate at our old stomping ground, The Rainbow Grill.  Then, we drove around Grandville past our old school, our homes and neighborhoods, and a few memory locations.  We talked about old times and old friends, and the memories were like yesterday.  When we headed home, as always, he said, "I love  you guys!"  He loved deeply and I am so blessed that he was a huge part of my life.  His loyalty was beyond measure.

The name MARK, is appropriate...YOU have made a huge MARK on my life, Buddy.  I will miss you ever day until we meet again. 

 We have many fond memories of him from the family unions over several years.  Bruce also remembers playing games with Kevon, Mark and Mike in uncle Tom and Aunt Dorothy's basement.
