Marlene Beth Brink

BRINK - Marlene Beth Brink, age 49, unexpectedly went to be with her Lord, Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the cottage, a place of so much joy for her. She was preceded in death by her father Ferdinand Damstra and her father-in-law Ronald Brink.

Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 31 years Byron Brink; her children Curtis & Mindy Brink, Carla Brink and her fiancAC. Mike Bensted; her 3 precious grandchildren Alyssa, Evan and Taylor; her mother Bertha Damstra; her mother-in-law Johanna L. Brink; her step-mother Mary Kay Mitzi Damstra; her siblings Tom Linda Damstra, Ruth Damstra-Peters Gary Peters, Sue Steve DeJong; her brothers-in-law Leslie Brink, David Carmen Brink, Dale Luanne Brink; and her many nieces and nephews.

Marlene volunteered for many years of service at Heritage CRC, Byron Center Christian School and South Christian High School. Much of her time was spent at the cottage with her kids and grandkids, enjoying her favorite activities: fishing, skiing, and golf. Planning and preparing for Carla’s wedding and spending time with her family were all things she delighted in.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Marlene’s family will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Heritage Christian Reformed Church, 3089 84th St. SW. The family invites entries in their Memory Book online at www.cookfuneralservices.com.

In honor of Marlene, contributions may be made to Byron Center Christian School or South Christian High School.
