Marlin D. Shrontz went to be with his wife, Barbara, in the house of the Lord May 29, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Laura Shrontz; brother, James Shrontz; sister, Louella Ginrich; and brother, Raymond Shrontz.
He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War, and continued his service through the American Legion Post #381.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he truly loved. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sister, Emma Jenkins; brother, Ernest Shrontz; sister-in-law, Carole Norton; and children Dennis (Debby) Shrontz, Brenda (Brad) Staffen, and Brian Shrontz; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life service for Marlin will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2026 with visitation from 10-11 a.m., at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. There will be a luncheon following the service.
