I found Mr,Besteman’s book in the Family Christian Store  I managed back in 2012 not long after it was released.   At that time I was struggling to survive the death of a dear friend, who also died in 2012,  I had read other books for comfort, but his book has been  used by the Lord to help me cope,and encouraged me greatly. I still enjoy reading it and recommended it thru the years to others who came in our store to help them,   Having traveled to Grand Rapids for company meetings,  I felt a kinship to him and your family,    God Bless you and I pray this book will continue to be placed in the hands of the hurting.

I had a miscarriage in 2005, and Marvin went to Heaven for the first time in 2006. So, I was thinking maybe he saw my baby when he visited Heaven. I like his book and have read it at least 2 or 3 times before, and I am reading it again.

Dear Besteman family, 
I stumbled across Marv's book yesterday online and could not put it down.  It was beautifully written and the message is so inspirational.   This morning as I was reading the last page with a tear in my eye I  heard a text message came over my phone.    The news came that a  family member who's been sick and suffering for quite some time had just passed away.    I felt chills through my whole body and knew at this moment  it was definitely no accident that I had come across Marv's book.  I shared this with other family members to comfort them and I know it did!    God works in mysterious ways and I hope to see Marv at the gate when my time comes!

We remember Marv and smile. He always had a hug and kiss or warm handshake for us, a big smile and a twinkle in his eye. Such a friendly man, kind and compassionate. We listened with amazement to his story of heaven. God didn't have his room ready back then but we know he has moved in now and forever.

Amy - your dad was a wonderful man that I loved and respected. He and your mom were a significant part of my life in those crazy college years. We had much fun and I have fond memories of his big smile, big heart, and big hugs. Much love and prayers to you and your entire family.

 We have been so blessed to have Marvin's DVD to comfort us during our loss and provide a window of God's glory and our heavenly home. My name is Victor Elliott. I found your husband's book in the library while looking for something else. I took the book down and put it back several times before I checked it out, not because i dont believe in theses type of writings but am very cautious. I've never been lead to read a book. I dont really have a reason why. I've never heard of him until now. I was reading the first several pages and he kept saying the next time he goes to Heaven, he wont be back and so I attempted to look him up and found this sight where he went Home to never return here. The same Heaven that my mother went Home to be with her Lord. I've strayed away from the Lord for some time now. I really had given up. My mother was my heart and soul. She talked about a day when she would be gone too but I didnt know it would be this soon. I guess I almost expected her to be here with me always. I lost hope. I've been raised by a mother who was faithful in good times and bad and she always looked on the bright side of things, scripturely speaking. Just within the few, brief pages that I have read, I want you to know that Marvin is still continuing to do the work the Lord sent him back to do. I believe that things dont happen by chance..everything is God breathed, he orchastrates all things and I wasnt in that library looking for something else. God put me there at that very hour and very moment to show me that book. I appreciate you, Ruth and your children for standing with Marvin when he wanted to keep this amazing experience within. I ran across Marv's book 'My Journey to Heaven' online, and am very happy I read it. What a blessing to have received his story. It has completely changed how I view the rest of my life and what comes after.
 I will definitely be recommending the book to others. I also have a website with a 'recommended reading' page where I'll be putting up a link to buy the book.
 I am extremely happy that Marv wrote the book for others to share the experience and that he had such an awesome family to support and encourage him.

I just finished reading Marvin's book and his story has blessed me so much. I lost my mother to cancer 4 months ago and this book brought me so much comfort. God bless each of his loving family members and thank God for giving Marvin the chance to share his story before bringing him back home.
