We will miss our dear Mary, love Win and Bette Matteson.

When we read this poem, we immediately thought of Mary:

An Admirable Woman

There is a woman who always keeps her head up high.
Her eyes sparkle like a bright star in the sky.
She has the stamina, beauty, and courage that one would admire,
Even the love and happiness one inspires.
She is a women that one can always count on,
And a woman that sees no wrong.
Her beauty shines from the inside out,
It flows like a journey down a long route.
Her smile shines beautifully like the sun rising over the horizon,
And her intelligence, wisdom, and hard work are not surprising.
She is a genuinely caring women
Who goes the extra mile to help one in need or broken hearted,
And throughout all of her hard work,
No one ever sees her fall apart.

Terry and the Banfill and VanGilder families.  We still cannot believe
that Mary is gone. Her soft-spoken gentle way will be missed by 
many including the Grueser’s and her friends at the Pine Island Food
Pantry. Our deepest sympathy.

I was saddened to hear of Mary’s passing. She was a sweet lady and a good wittiness for the Lord. I pray the Lord gives the family his peace. God Bless you all. :heart:

Words cannot convey the emptiness her passing has left in my heart. Loved her dearly and considered her my little sister from another mother. Terry my dear friend my heart aches for you as I know how close you two were. Bette and I were honored by your friendship and always looked forward to the next adventure! Your in my prayers brother and I want you to know that you can call me anytime day or night If you need a shoulder. My prayers are also with my other mother and dad Phil and Lorna and the entire family! Love to you all!

I felt so blessed to be Mary's cousin.  I will miss her kind heart, loving soul and comforting words of advice.  Mary did or said something nice for someone everyday.  What an awesome way she lived her life.

Back in the 70's the Banfill family's spent weekends & summers on the milpond. Mary & I would snorkel in the pond & wash our hair (in the pond) using dish soap for shampoo & fabric softener for conditioner. Lots of fun times! RIP Mary :sparkling_heart:
