He was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Charlotte Dillow and Loton Nichols.
Surviving are his wife Pauline; children, Judith Robert Scranton of Walker, Bruce Nichols of Three Rivers, Jon Marilyn Nichols of McKinney, TX; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren; brother, Elton Helen Nichols of Lakewood, OH.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 30, 2 pm at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St. SW, with Reverend Eric J. Thorson of Hudsonville Congregational UCC Church officiating.
