Melvin T. Faber

Melvin T. Faber, age 82 went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, July 10, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents Nick and Hattie Faber; siblings Ted Faber, Ed Faber, Annette Volkema, Bill Faber, Fran Wilterdink. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years Arlene Faber; children Cindy (Dave) DeBoer, Debra Schrumpf, Sherri Lott ; grandchildren Michael Lott, Stacy Lott, Rebecca (Mike) Osterhaven, Anna (Kyle) Boglitsch; great-grandchild Ashtynn Osterhaven; siblings Martha Faber, Lewis (Marge) Faber, Sadie (Charles) St. Charles; many nieces and nephews. Melvin will be remembered for his 37 dedicated years serving the community through his work with the Grand Rapids Fire Department where he retired as Captain.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 - 8pm, Thursday July 12th and 2-4pm Friday July 13th at Cook Funeral Home (West Building) 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville. Interment will be at Garfield Park Cemetery. In honor of Melvin, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
