Melvin Miller

MILLER-Melvin Miller "Uncle Mela?? age 85 of Wyoming, passed away Friday, August 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Lila Miller, sister Margaret Link and brother Donald Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Virginia "Ginnya??; his daughter Jodene (Craig) Smith and son Doug Miller; grandchildren Ashlea Collier and Doug (Jill) Collier; great grandchildren, Lola Harig, Skylar, Sage and Sutton Collier; his sister Lucille (Ken) Vodry, sister-in-law Wanda (Carl) Root; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends and loved ones.

Mel served in U.S. Navy in WWII. He worked at Doehler Jarvis then for 40 years at Truck City and was always willing to help a friend. There wasn't a single person he met that he didn't make laugh and smile, and he was always good for a hearty chuckle.

The funeral service will be held 11 am Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, (east building), 4235 Prairie St. SW. The family will receive relatives and friends Monday 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville (west building).
