To my Brother with all my love, my Heart is broken, I miss you so very much. I will never forget all the memories that we have shared through the years. I'm so very thankful that I got to spend the last night by myself with you,it meant so very much to me, I knew you could hear me as a tear rolled down your face when I spoke to you. I know that you are at peace and in Heaven with our Lord and you are know longer in pain, knowing that helps me get through this hard time. I love you Mike and I know you will always be with me.

I worked with Mike at the 'Case' many years and while it is not the same place it used to be, it was still a good place to work. It was nice to run into him after I left, I would see him working in the yard or talking with a neighbor. The last time I saw him was in June when he told me he had cancer. I have been praying that God would heal him, now I am praying that God will confort you and your family.

I am very sad to learn of my good friend's passing just today. I was not aware Mike had been sick. I worked with Mike at the Case for many years. During that time Mike was always a beacon of light to be around. Forever smiling and joking. He literally could make your day with that smile. Our familyA�A�A�s heartfelt sympathy and prayers are extended to the Cortez family.

Hey uncle Mike, I miss you so much...more and more each day. I wish I could have been there by your side in the end, but I know that I would have hated to see you like that and now I can remember you as you were before I left. You meant the world to me, and always will. I can't help but to look back on when we went camping with the whole family. I remember you laughing and telling jokes. I miss those days so much. It just still seems so unreal to me, but I know that you are now in a better place looking down on us all. You have always been a big supporter of my goals, which has been a tremendous inspiration. I love you with all my heart and I know we will meet again one day down the road. Until then I will do my best to make you proud and I hope that in hard times you will help give me the strength I need to get through it. And don't worry about your little sis...I'll do my best to take of her for you and keep her out of trouble : I love you and miss you so much. Take care uncle Mike...I'll see you soon.

My condolences to the Cortez family. Mike was a great guy. I worked with him at Steelcase and he also designed and built a beautiful wrap-around deck for me, years ago. He will be missed.
