Milton J. DeYoung

DEYOUNG - Milton J. DeYoung, age 78, of Port Charlotte, Florida and Cadillac, Michigan passed away July 28, 2001 and went to be with his Lord. Mr. DeYoung was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Milton was also an accomplished handyman serving on the Board of Directors of Bell Telephone Credit Union and The Village of Holiday Lakes-Port Charlotte.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Etta; one sister, Doretta Zandstra.

Surviving are two brothers, Laverne Bonnie DeYoung of Battle Creek, Robert Marcia DeYoung of Holland; one brother-in-law, Garrit Zandstra of Grand Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Remeegia VanderWerff also of Grand Rapids, Mary Don Trudell of Cedar Springs; four brothers-in-law, Lambert Phyllis VanderWerff of Grand Rapids, Francis Norma VanderWerff of Sparta, Godfrey Geraldine VanderWerff, Domenic Patricia VanderWerff both of Grand Rapids. He is loved by several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI with Pastor Blain Newhouse of Calvary Reformed Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be mailed to Hospice of Holland or a Charity of One's Choice.
