Myron Kenneth Burgess

He was born May 24, 1912, in Holland, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ellen Burgess; brothers, Howard, Laurence, Raymond, Kenneth, Ernest, Carroll, Frederick, and Gerald; his sisters, Margaret Waldeck and Bernice Strating.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Emma Jerene Huizenga, his children, Roger Lynne, Sandra, Ronald Sheila, Marvin Nancy and Bruce Kara; his 8 grandchildren/4 great grandchildren, Brandt, Scott & Denice Alexa & Carson, Jeffrey & Kortney Trenton & Alec, Jillian, Jonathan, Logan, Kegan and Tia Burgess; his sisters Dorothy Glupker, Gladys Bisbee, and Geraldine Van Sweden; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jean Burgess, Ardis Burgess, Marian Burgess, Pauline Burgess, Kay Burgess, Anne Burgess, Roland & Jo Strating, John & Muriel Huizenga, and Don & Mae Schreur plus many nieces and nephews.

Myron served his country in the US Army, 103rd Infantry division from 1942-1946. Myron was a life-time member of the Reformed Church of Corinth.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Myron's family will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 – 84th St. SW. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the Reformed Church of Corinth, 129 – 100th St. SE, with Rev. Don Porter and Rev. Warren Burgess officiating. Interment with military honors will be at Winchester Cemetery.
