

Nancy Rae Paumier (nee Halloran) age 89 went to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 14, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Paumier; parents Helen and James Halloran; infant daughter, Barbara Joan; and several siblings. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, John (Mark) Steffke-Halloran; children Diane (Thomas) Stoll, Lisa (Paumier) Huntoon, and Sandy (Jerry) Brown; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Grand Rapids with her new husband in 1957. She was blessed with sixty years of marriage to her husband, William ("Bill") Paumier. Nancy and Bill served in Engaged Encounter for twenty years, mentoring newly engaged couples in their marriage commitments. Nancy was a wonderful homemaker, cook, entertainer, and seamstress. She became a master quilter after beginning her first handmade quilt in 1983. She was a member of Hands Across the Sea Quilting Bee, West Michigan Quilt Guild, and AQS.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, May 19 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St., Grandville, MI 49418, with a Scripture Service at 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418.
