Patricia Ann Johnson

On Sunday, December 17, 2023, Patricia “Pat” Johnson, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 70. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Anna DeYoung; and brothers Rich and Fred DeYoung. She is survived by her husband, Daniel Johnson; sons Ben (Elizabeth) Miller and Michael (Jennifer) Miller; stepsons Shannon (Beth) Johnson and Sean (Penny) Johnson; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings David DeYoung, Char Hillard, and Keith DeYoung; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pat was a longtime member at Christ Lutheran Church in Wyoming. She received teaching degrees from Reformed Bible College and Grand Valley State University. Pat was a Head Start teacher and tutor. In addition, she was a Stephen Minister. She also grew up helping her father in the meat room at DeYoung Meats. Her baked goods were legendary and her giving heart will be missed.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44th Street SW, Wyoming, MI 49519, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
