Patrick Charles Bohlinger, age 59 of Jenison, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 17, 2021. Pat was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Susan Beidler and niece, Mackenzie Bohlinger. He will be remembered by his wife of 23 years, Barbara (Beidler); children Kyle, Kevin and Robin Bohlinger; parents, Charles “Skip” and Joan Bohlinger of Mio, MI; siblings Maureen (John) Byrne of Jenison, MI, Dan (Courtney) Bohlinger and Jim Bohlinger of Grand Rapids, MI, Katie (Rod) Morgan of Allendale, MI, and Frank (Tonya) Bohlinger of Athens, AL; father-in-law, Art Beidler of Hedgesville, WV; brother-in-law, Adam (Jane) Beidler of Reston, VA; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Pat loved spending time with family and friends. When he was not busy fixing computers, you could find him studying the stars, playing his drum set, or cheering for his favorite Detroit sports team. Pat graduated from Mio AuSable High School in 1979 and continued to work with his dad in the Gambles hardware store until enlisting in the United States Navy in 1982. After proudly serving his country for six years, he settled in Virginia and began working for Standard Technology, Inc. where he met his future wife in 1996. Shortly after marrying Barbara in 1997, they settled in Georgetown Township where he enjoyed seeing his children excel in the Jenison Public Schools’ music programs. The oldest of six children, Pat cherished his role as big brother and mentor; he loved to make people laugh and was voted "class clown" and "most talented" by his high school class. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
