
Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years John.
Paula graduated from Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1941 and worked for many years in various nursing positions.
She was a long time member of Grandville United Methodist Church.
Later, Paula was a proud member of American Legion Unit 2, Carl A. Johnson post of Grand Rapids, and the Red Arrow auxiliary of the 32nd Infantry Division, as well as the Kent Salon #322 8 et 40.
She served in several leadership capacities in these organizations.
Paula is lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Allen Emmons, and Terri Shackelton; grandchildren, Holly Cameron Milkins, Brad Emmons, Randall Sheryl Emmons; her great grandchildren, Maggie, Danny, and Abby Milkins; and her niece MaryLou Tom Emelander; and several cousins.
Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Grandville United Methodist Church, 3140 Wilson Ave. with Rev. Gerald Toshalis officiating.
