

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Anthonet Brower; and brothers, Clarence Brower and Henry Brower.
Pierson will be lovingly remembered by his children, Priscilla Michael Dziurgot Fountain of Canton, MI and Jan John Ellis of Middleville; grandchildren, Angela George Marlow, Michael Amy Larson Ellis, and Kevin Ellis; great granddaughter, Stella Marlow; brother, William Brower; and sisters-in-law, Jurane Wustman and Marian Brower.
After serving his country for 12 years during WWII and the Korean Conflict retiring as a Captain, Pierson started a very successful insurance business, retiring in 1978. He was very active in the Wyoming Rotary Club and was on the Wyoming School Board for 10 years. Pierson and his wife had a wonderful retirement for 23 years in Golf Lake Estates, Bradenton, Florida. He was an avid Michigan State fan, graduating as a vocal major.
Pierson's family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Carveth Village of Middleville for their loving care and support.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel East Building with Rev. Rick Oppenhuizen officiating. The family will meet with relatives and friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St SW, Grandville West Building.
