Our sweet, fun loving, dear daughter, sister, and aunt, Rachel Anne De Haan, age 34, was gently carried into the arms of Jesus on October 18, 2020, after a courageous five week battle with leukemia. She will be greatly missed by her parents Tim and Carol De Haan; siblings Sarah (Ken) Vierzen, Ben De Haan, Andy (Karryn) De Haan; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had a special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews Emily, Katelyn, Zachary, Jordan, and Lucas who all called her Aunt Rae-Ree.
Her favorite times were spending time with family, especially during the holidays and vacations. Rachel was a talented baker and cook. She loved dogs, reading, knitting, spending time at the lake, and boating. Her coworkers at the Laurels of Hudsonville were like family to her.
Due to the current health crisis, the family will hold a private ceremony at a later date. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Rachel, please donate to the Leukemia Foundation. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com. Hebrews 6:19 – “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
