Ray Leroy Brown

BROWN Ray Leroy Brown, age 84, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, May 19, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hazel Brown; his step-mother, Ann Brown; his father- and mother-in-law, Edward and Rosie Vineyard; his brothers, Glen and Dale Brown; and his son, Bradley Brown.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Grace "Lorena" Brown; his daughter and her husband, Laurie and Owen Sneden; his grandson and his wife, Tyler and Sara Sneden; his step-siblings, Lee Anderson, Michael Kornoelje, Walt (Helene) Anderson; his brother- and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Iva Vineyard, Virginia Vineyard; and many nieces and nephews.

Ray proudly served in the US Army. He was a member of the Roger B. Chaffee American Legion and the Teamsters Local 406. Ray drove truck without a ticket or an accident for 36 years on the road. He drove for Lamar Pipe and Tile and then for Spartan Stores. In his retirement years, he and Lorena loved to drive and travel all over the US and Canada.

A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday, May 22, at Georgetown United Methodist Church, 2766 Baldwin St. with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Rev. William Bills will be officiating. In honor of Ray, contributions may be made to Georgetown United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
