Richard Lyle Kruger

Mr. Richard Lyle Kruger entered eternal life on Sunday afternoon, August 7, 2011, with his family at his side. Richard "Ricka?? was a friend to all who met him and was always there with a helping hand to anyone in need. He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile and personality and the very clever, hard-working, inventive man that he was. He never saw a child or an animal that he didn't love and they were always drawn to him as well. He will be lovingly missed by his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 59 years, Margaret Kruger, a loving father to his daughter, Linda (Thomas) Birkenhauer, a wonderful grandpa to his grandchildren, Natasha (Erik) Hingst and Joshua Pope, a doting great-grandpa to Cayden and Gabriella Hingst. He is also survived by brothers, William Kruger and Robert Kruger and in-laws, Tom and Icey Tulk, Philip and Sue Wauben and Jack and Darlene Sala.

A time for visiting with Rick's family will be held beginning at 12:30 p.m. prior to a memorial service, celebrating his life at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 15 at the Terraces of Maple Creek a?" Chapel, 2000 32nd St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Pastor Becky Ebb-Speese will be officiating. In honor of Rick, contributions may be made to Maple Creek a?"
