He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Helen; his sons Gregg (Kim) Markert, Gary (Mary) Markert; grandchildren Amanda and Brandon Markert and dear sister-in-law Rose Mandell. Dick was a long time member at Sunnybrook Country Club and he was also the owner of Dick's Markert's Grand Rapids Auto Auction.
A Private memorial service will be held. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday 6-9 pm at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville 4235 Prairie St (east building).
