Dick leaves behind a legacy of faithfulness and quiet strength. He was a dedicated, responsible, and hardworking man whose steady hands and artistic eye shaped both wood and life with care. Skilled in construction and gifted in wood carving, he found joy in building, creating, and tending his garden. He could often be found metal detecting with patient curiosity or spending peaceful winters in Florida soaking up the sunshine. Above all, he loved the Lord and his church, serving with humble devotion and unwavering faith. His life was a testament to steadfast love, craftsmanship, and a heart fully anchored in Christ.
A celebration of Dick’s life will commence 2 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie Street SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Pastor Lew VanderMeer will be officiating. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
