Robert A. De De Puit

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Irene De Puit; his sister Maxine Bulliment; and his brother Jack De Puit.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years Ethel M. Ver Strate De Puit; his children, Judith Ronald Schuitman, Patricia Peter Van Til, and Barbara Larry Grasman; his grandchildren, Laurel Doug Cushman, Stacey Greg Gkekas, Jeffrey Van Til, and Christopher VanTil; his great grandchildren, Lindsae Cushman, Ryan Cushman, Desi Cushman, Paige Gkekas, Madison Gkekas, Marisa Van Til, Mason Van Til , and Christian Van Til; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold Maggie Bulliment, Betty Robert Bulliment, and Madeline De Puit; his nieces and nephews, Sharon Van Dam, James Bulliment, Tom De Puit, Robert Bulliment, Jr., Diane Gebhart, Laurie Brouwer, David Bulliment, Mary Hartsuiker, Kathe Stewart, and Sueanne Johnson.

After proudly serving as a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp during WWII, Robert worked as an accountant and retired in 1982 as Deputy Comptroller for the City of Grand Rapids.

He was a member of Grandville First Reformed Church for over 60 years.

Robert was a longtime member of the Wyoming Am Vets and the American Legion.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Georgetown Manor and Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Reformed Church of Grandville 3060 Wilson SW with Rev. Doug Van Bronkhorst and Rev. Mike Painter officiating.

Interment will be at the Grandville Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, Grandville 4235 Prairie St SW - west building and one hour prior to the service at the church.
