Robert Lee Grotenrath, age 86, went to be with Jesus Friday, May 23, 2025. Robert was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline (King) Grotenrath; brother, Jack Grotenrath; sister, Judy Shoup; and niece, Paula Kelly. He will be remembered by his children Dawn (David) Hall and Donna Grotenrath; grandchildren Sonja (Brandon) Waters, Drew (Kelsey) Straub, Alisa Takas (Jacob Bagwell), Jackson Hall (Kody Farrier), and Sophie (Toby) Hulst; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Robert (Bob) loved watching the Tigers on TV, traveling to watch his great-grandnephew play baseball, and golfing with his friends. He graduated from Berlin High School in 1957 and served in the Navy from 1958-1964. Bob retired from General Motors after 34 years of service.
