He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Patricia Reed; and his four siblings Tom, Walter, Paul, and Mary.
Bob was a lifelong learner who embraced new experiences, new hobbies, and new friends at every opportunity. He loved bonsai, cars, sailing, wood carving and ham radio to name just a few hobbies. He was a founding member of the Lake Odessa Historical Society and chronicled many personal stories of WWII veterans. Bob was his family’s greatest champion, supporting his children and grandchildren in every endeavor. He’s no doubt sharing their accomplishments, epic and every day, with his new pals in the afterlife.
He will be lovingly remembered by his children David Reed, Douglas (Janet) Reed, Brett (Lynne) Reed, Amy Acton, and Mary Reed; and grandchildren Ian Reed, Mallory Reed, Niki Acton, Reed Acton, and Josie Leslie.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 209 at the Depot Museum, 1117 Emerson Street, Lake Odessa, Michigan, to share stories and memories about Bob. A luncheon will follow the celebration.
In honor of Robert and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, 525 Ottawa Ave, Grand Rapids, 49503.
The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com.
