He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 29, 1959 to Rhoba and Donald Van Tuinen Sr. Nick is survived by his three siblings, Clyde “Bill” Childs, Donald Van Tuinen Jr. (Denise Clemenshaw), and Sue Van Tuinen; as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by Rhoba and Donald Van Tuinen Sr.
Nick was an active member of the American Legion Post 208 of Kentwood, Michigan and the Moose post 763 of Wyoming, Michigan. He had a passion for the road. He spent many years driving truck and had a love for his Harley Davidson.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor, details to come.
