I am so gratful to have Uncle Gene in my life. Him and Aunt Kay helped to build me into who I am now. I remember many things but a few in the front of my mind is the many family get togethers at there home. It was awesome and a great memory. The only thing I hated about those family get togethers was washing the silver ware after words! There were so many of them that it seemed like we would never get done with them! But my fondest memories are when I was able to come and spend part of my summer vacation with Uncle Gene, Aunt Kay, Gary, Terry, Glen and Dan. They made me feel like I was special and not just one of the 12 kids back home. I remember the summer we were at the house on the lake and the many times I went to vacation bible school with them. I was such a brat when I had to go home. I did not want to leave and Mom would always tell me if I did not straighten up I would not get to go back again. I will always love and miss you Uncle Gene! I do wish I could have spent more time with him...

I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Gene's passing. God knows when we have endured enough pain. He is at peace now, and not in pain. May God Bless you all Aunt Kaye, Gary, Terry, Glen, and Dan and Family's with the Comfort to heal. Only time can help us heal. I remember the great family gatherings at Uncle Gene and Aunt Kaye's. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. The Lord knew Gene didn't want to suffer any longer and he is now in a better place. When you look up in the sky and see those sparkling stars at night, I'm sure one of them is Gene looking down on his family with loving memories. He will sadly be missed....
