Roger Elwin Doane, age 80, went to be with his Lord Monday, August 16, 2021. Roger was preceded in death by his parents Elwin and Alice Doane. He will be remembered by his wife of 61 years, Ann Doane; children Cherie (Dave) Johnson, Tim (Patti) Doane, and Rob (Ruth) Doane; 16 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Carol (Ed) McClurken; brothers Dale (Lynn) Doane and Marty (Nancy) Doane; sister-in-law, Joni (Hemmes) Stark; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Roger loved his country and served in the U.S. Navy. Later he joined Steelcase as a model maker. A Celebration of Roger’s Life will take place 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Daybreak Church, 3501 Baldwin Street, Hudsonville, MI 49426. Pastor Geoff Eckart will be officiating. In honor of Roger and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Daybreak Church or Faith Hospice. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
