He worked 48 years in construction for DVK and EV Construction companies. He faithfully served in multiple capacities at Berean Bible Church (Wyoming), Christ Church (Jenison), and Celebration Bible Church (Grandville). He served many years at Grace Youth Camp and Campamentos del Caribe in Puerto Rico.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Hermina Geurink; uncle, Marv Geurink; sisters Carol and Elaine; and brother, Ron.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Sandi; daughter, Stacey Price; daughter, Shellie (Tom) Raisanen; son, Ryan Geurink; and daughter, Nicole (Bob) Samuels; grandchildren Noah and Nicole Price, Elijah and Allie Price, Jared Raisanen, Jacob Raisanen, Sam Geurink, Maggie Geurink, Drew Geurink, and Bobby Samuels; and great-grandchildren Scarlet, Harper and Hayden. He also leaves behind his siblings Gerald (Joan) Geurink, Mary (John) Anderson; sisters-in-law Colleen Geurink, Sandy (Greg) Tornga, Vicki (Rob) McMurry, and Roxanne Boggs; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Celebration Bible Church, 4690 8th Ave., Grandville, Michigan, with visitation from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Roger, memorial contributions may be made to Celebration Bible Church, Love Your Neighbor, or Faith Hospice.
