Roger A. Red Nicol

NICOL - Roger A. Red Nicol age 87 of Hudsonville, passed away September 30, 2001 and went to be with his Lord. Mr. Nicol was preceded in death by his infant son Joseph in 1946; three brothers, Lenard, Jesse, and Roy; and on June 7, 2001 his wife of 63 years, Marjorie.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Carol Nicol of Holland, Dennis Nicol of Hudsonville; two daughters, Diana Francis Thompson of Douglas, Judy Bernard Kolkman of Byron Center; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Nieberger of Laughlin, NV, June Donald Hein of Holland; two sisters-in-law, Mary Nicol, Lucille Lewis Newberry; one brother-in-law Milton Kool: many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday 11 a.m. from Rosewood Reformed Church 2795 Rosewood, Jenison with Pastor Howard Moths and Rev. Richard Vander Klok officiating. Interment Pilgrim Home Cemetery.

The family will meet with relatives and friends Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home - Jenison 1889 Baldwin St.
