Roger G. Zylstra

Roger George Zylstra, age 88 went to be with his Lord Thursday, March 31, 2022. Roger was preceded in death by son, Jeff Zylstra; parents George and Mary Zylstra; stepfather, Casey Maring; brother, Jack Zylstra; and sister, Elinor Brauer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Angela Zylstra; children Mary (Dave) Bristol, Anne (Jeff) Bidelman; daughter-in-law, Jan Zylstra; grandchildren Erin (Peter) Wegener, Kelsey (Justin) Kata, Joshua Bidelman, Jon Zylstra; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Roger was employed at UPS as a delivery driver for 37 years. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He spent much of his time at their family cottage at Chippewa Lake.

Visitation with family and friends will take place from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Ml 49418. A Rosary will begin at 4:45 p.m. There will be a funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13 at St. Pius X Church, 3937 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Visitation will also take place one hour prior to Mass. In honor of Roger and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4081 Cascade Rd.
