Rollin “Ron” Hilbrands, age 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 23, 2021. He was preceded in death by his sisters Donna Thompson and Caroline Higgins. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carole Hilbrands; children Kim (Tom) Glashower, Patricia Hilbrands, Nancy (David) Brouwer; grandchildren Anna (Alex) Merrill, Joel (fiancee, Sheila Riffe) Glashower, Luke (Alyssa) Glashower, Micah (Alison) Glashower, Seth (fiancee, Cambrie Ballast) Brouwer, Ben Brouwer; great-grandchildren Charlie, Max, Everlee, Eleanor Merrill, Ella and Levi Glashower; brother, Will (Janice) Hilbrands; sisters Doris (Chuck) Anderson, Mildred Cole, Wilma Van Kampen, Beatrice (Charles) Hamstra, Ruth Steigenga; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan 49418. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Grace Bible Church, 3715 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Ron, contributions may be made to the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.
