Ron lived a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Ron and Jackie were high school sweethearts who went on to share 67 years of marriage. The two were inseparable, true partners in every sense, always together through every stage of life. Their love and commitment were the foundation of the family they built, and it's a legacy that continues on through their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Family was everything to Ron. He never missed an event - whether it was for his kids, grandkids, or great-grandkids - he showed up, cheered loud, and made sure they knew how proud he was. He was always involved, always present, and always putting family first.
Golf was Ron's lifelong passion. He played his whole life and was still out on the course last summer at 89 years old. He always enjoyed bowling, but above all, people will remember his quick wit, his humor, and how much joy he brought into every room into which he walked.
Ron was loved by many, and he gave love back tenfold. His presence, laughter, and devotion to family will be missed deeply but never forgotten. His family invites friends and loved ones to honor him in the way he lived - together, with love, laughter, and maybe even a good round of golf.
Ron will be lovingly missed by his wife, Jackie Baldwin; daughters Lisa (Hank) VanRanden, Renée (Jeff) Klomparens, Julie (Todd) Snyder; grandchildren Alex (Samantha) VanRanden, Drew VanRanden, Brad (Alexandra) Klomparens, Courtney (Mike) Didion-Marion, Mallory (Mitchell) DeVink, Chase Snyder, Peyton Snyder (Brad Burgess); great-grandchildren Lula and Tristan VanRanden, Cohen Klomparens, Remington and Madelyn Didion, Molly and Maverick DeVink, Kayson and Carter Burgess.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation one hour prior from 12-1 p.m. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
