Ron was such a wonderful blessing to Evergreen Commons. Every year he would set up our Golf League which is enjoyed by 60 or more people. He also worked in our Woodshop, served on the Woodshop Advisory Committee, and taught numerous wood bowl turning classes. His love for people along with his patience and kindness touched so many people here. He will be truly missed.

Uncle Ron was my great Uncle; I am a grandson of Ray Ron's brother. One of my great memories is when Uncle Ron and Aunt Susan come to stay with us in Shakopee, MN. We just built a new home enjoyed giving them one of the first tours. The morning of their departure my wife made a wonderful breakfast where we the 4 of us sat around the breakfast table just talking and laughing. Sitting on the bar that I built in my basement is a bowl that Uncle Ron made for me. I will cherish his wood work forever. Aunt Susan you are in our thoughts and prayers. I've known Ron for the past 6 years. We worked together as drivers at Dean Transportation. He was a great friend and co-worker who will be forever missed. Ron was a very talented wood worker, who loved to play golf. Ron touched the lives of many people including the special needs children he transported to and from school. I'm comforted in the fact that he was a Christian, and I know we will meet again some day.

I was pleased to see Ron a few months ago after many many years. He spotted me,and that big grin came accross his face. We chatted for a moment, cought up on a few things and again parted ways. I know he will be greatly missed by all of the family. You have my sympathy. Hello to Greg and Tonya!

I didn't know Ron but my family new his brother Ray and Ann and the boys. My dad, Milton, worked at Ray's gas station in Chicago or something like that and was good friends also with my grandpa James Homolka. Anyway, in the summer, we had a place in New Auburn and on Monday's, their family would come out to our place on Chain Lake with their boat. Believe the Log Cabin was closed on Mondays and they pretty much made it out every week. And I believe my mom still receives Christmas cards from Jimmy and his wife in Hawaii. Sorry to hear about your loss. Scott
